Before taking the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam, you must have at least one of the following certificates:
- PRINCE2 foundation
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
- PMP or CAPM
- IPMA levels A, B, C, or D
Regardless of the official prerequisite, you need to be familiar with PRINCE2 and Agile before taking this course, as the main topic in the course is to learn how to use PRINCE2 in Agile environments, not teaching PRINCE2 and Agile. If you’re not familiar with these two topics, we can recommend the following courses:

- If you don’t have the official manual, buy it. It’s helpful, because the exam is open-book and you can use the manual during the exam.
- Take the lessons:
- It’s best if you spend 15 to 30 minutes a day, every day. A gradual learning process is much more effective than an intense one. We’ve built the course with short, independent lessons to make it possible for you to study them gradually.
- While you’re learning, don’t worry about memorizing anything. If something is important, we’ll repeat it so many times from different perspectives that you will automatically remember it.
- Take notes, build mind maps, or draw diagrams while you’re taking the lessons. This helps you understand the lessons better and stay focused, even if you never use those notes.
- Certain parts of the manual are very important in the exam. During the lessons, we sometimes ask you to mark those sections in your manual for faster access during the exam. Make sure you mark them.
- We’ll register you with the examination institute and send you the exam voucher. Vouchers are valid for one year.
- Take the sample exams. Analyze your wrong answers, find the areas of weakness, and take the related lessons again to fill in the gaps. Remember to take the sample exams with a setting similar to the real exam: manage your time, use the official manual, and don’t use your notes or any other resources.
- Book the date and time of your exam with the examination institute.
- Take the official exam.

No, and this is why:
Initially, there was only one level of certification for PRINCE2 Agile: Practitioner. In mid-2018, AXELOS (the owner of PRINCE2) introduced a basic Foundation level as well.
We don’t cover PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, because PRINCE2 Agile needs prior knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile, and the goal for PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is to have no prerequisites. So, what happens in practice is that you either have to teach everything the learner needs, or just have a quick overview. The first option is not justifiable, because we already have separate courses for PRINCE2 Foundation and Agile which learners can use and also get those certifications; and the latter option is not acceptable, because it doesn’t give the learner a good understanding of the topic.
Since January 2020, training organizations have not been allowed to issue certificates of completion for AXELOS programs. If you need to show that you’ve taken a course (e.g., to submit PDUs with PMI), we’ll issue a letter of course attendance for you.
Nevertheless, you will still get your official certificate by passing the exam.
It’s a self-paced online course. You can start the course whenever you want and proceed at any speed that suits you.
You’ll have unlimited access to the course for one year, and you can retake certain lessons or even the whole course if you find it necessary.

Note: In case you’re familiar with the PMBOK® Guide, it’s worth mentioning that the PMBOK Guide is not a methodology and is designed to tell you “how” to do things (that you know you want to do), while PRINCE2 is designed to answer the “what”, “when”, and “by whom” questions instead. These two together form a great combination.
There are 50 multiple-choice, scenario-based questions with one correct answer for each, and you have 2.5 hours to finish your exam. The passing score is 60%.
