Which one is the right choice for me?

If you’re not here for a particular certification program but your goal is rather to learn what Agile is and to become certified, your best option is Agile Scrum Foundation. It’s easy to learn and covers most of the topics required for Agile projects.

What is the PSM certification?

PSM (Professional Scrum Master) is a certification program from Scrum.org. It’s slightly more affordable than other programs, and therefore more popular among candidates who have a smaller budget for their certification. It’s a difficult exam, though, with a passing score of 85%.

What is the PSPO certification?

PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner), similar to PSM, is a certification program from Scrum.org that is slightly more affordable than other programs but has a more difficult exam.

It’s not mandatory, but it’s a good idea to aim for PSPO after getting certified in PSM.

What is the Agile Scrum Foundation certification?

Agile Scrum Foundation (ASF) is a certification program from EXIN. It’s a popular program, because of EXIN’s professional system in accrediting training organizations.

Your trainer in the ASF eLearning course, Nader K. Rad, is the co-author of the official training manual for the ASF program.

What is the AgilePM certification?

AgilePM is a certification program based on the Agile Business Consortium’s Agile Project Framework (DSDM®), which is one of the first generation Agile systems like Scrum, XP, and Crystal. While Scrum was initially designed for small teams, the Agile Project Framework was designed to support large projects with multiple teams.

Learners who have a strong background in project management find the Agile Project Framework and AgilePM easier to understand than Scrum certifications.

What is the PRINCE2 Agile certification?

PRINCE2 is a generic project management methodology. There’s a tailored version of PRINCE2, called PRINCE2 Agile, which is about using this methodology in Agile projects, alongside Scrum or another Agile system.

It’s best to have the PRINCE2 Foundation or PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate before aiming for PRINCE2 Agile. You also need to be familiar with Agile methods (e.g., the ASF program) before taking this course.
