Quality Management Approach
Here you can find a simple Quality Management Approach template in Microsoft Word/Excel format, along with explanation on how to use it.Background
This is where we define our approach to quality management. This includes the possible use of codes and standards, the records that will be used, and the reports.
Quality management depends heavily on the type of product, and therefore, it’s a good idea to use resources that are specific to quality management in your industry to set your approach. Composition
The template has these main sections:
-
Document information: this is the generic information about the document and connections with your Configuration Management system. Feel free to add more information here, but it’s best to keep it simple.
-
Approval: this section is for capturing approvals. There are multiple lines, because you may have multiple versions of this document approved. If you have a well-formed Configuration Management system to track approvals, feel free to remove this section.
-
The Approach: the heading are very generic. They may apply to most projects, but if you have a good understanding of quality management in your industry, don’t worry about them and just describe that well-formed approach in any way you’d like. The only important thing besides that is to make sure that your quality approach is compatible with other aspects of your project management methodology.
