Lesson 05: Outputs, outcomes, and value
There’s a special hierarchy from outputs to outcomes and finally, to value. Knowing the difference between each of the two elements is important because they need different types of attention, and they should have different priorities for our attention.

Alright, let’s review what we’ve learned:
- Explain the output-outcome-value hierarchy with examples.
- Value is a comparison of ___ and ___. Using that concept, how would you evaluate this course for you? Using the same concept, explain why the value of something is not the same for everyone.
The following are the definitions we’ve had in this lesson. Again, remember that you don’t have to memorize the definitions, but you should have a good understanding of them.
- Output
- Outcome
- Value
- Cost
- Risk
