Lesson 04: Types of service offerings and their management activities
There are different types of service offerings. We’ll take a look at that first, and then check the various activities needed for managing them. We’ll have a high-level review of that now and discuss the details later in the course.

Let’s review:
- When we talked about service offerings, we talked about the three categories of offerings. Describe what those three are and find examples of those in your personal life as a consumer and as a provider.
- Think of this course and describe its whole lifecycle.
- ITIL has 8 activities or stages for products and services. Name as many of those as you can and explain them. Don’t worry if some of them sound confusing and overlapping; we will have more detailed lessons about them later in the course.
Here are the definitions of this lesson:
- Goods
- Access to resources
- Service actions
