PRINCE2 Agile^® Practitioner Exam

Yes, you must have at least one of the following certificates before taking the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam:

• PRINCE2^® Foundation
• PRINCE2^® Practitioner
• PRINCE2 Agile^® Foundation
• PMP^®
• CAPM^®
• IPMA levels A, B, C, or D

You can take it from anywhere, as long as you’re in a small and quiet room. There should be no other people in that room, and no content related to the exam on the walls or desk.

At the beginning of the exam, you will be asked to move your webcam and show the whole room.

No, and this is why:

Initially, there was only one level of certification for PRINCE2 Agile: Practitioner. In mid-2018, AXELOS (the owner of PRINCE2) introduced a basic Foundation level as well.

We don’t cover PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, because PRINCE2 Agile needs prior knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile, and the goal for PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is to have no prerequisites. So, what happens in practice is that you either have to teach everything the learner needs, or just have a quick overview. The first option is not justifiable, because we already have separate courses for PRINCE2 Foundation and Agile which learners can use and also get those certifications; and the latter option is not acceptable, because it doesn’t give the learner a good understanding of the topic.

Most candidates prefer to take it in English though.

There are 50 multiple-choice, scenario-based questions with one correct answer for each, and you have 2.5 hours to finish your exam. The passing score is 60%.

First, it must be a reliable connection (preferably wired, not WiFi). You can usually resume the exam if you’re disconnected, but it’s a risk.

Second, it must be fast enough, because the exam will be invigilated via webcam and microphone. If your connection is fine for video chat, it should work well for the exam.
